Dedicated to the Future

In 1993, Leonard & Kelli Orona both saw a need in their community. They understood that education offers many opportunities for success in one’s community and most importantly to one’s life.

They opened their doors in a small 800 square feet suite on Vallejo’s Downtown Georgia Street the following year. Now located on Springs Road, they continue to provide supplies and materials for Solano County.

Over the years, The Bookworm has helped contribute to many organizations and local school programs to encourage the next generation for a better future. In addition to their involvment, the family has also added The Bookworm Learning Center for grades PreK-12th grade. Recently awarded  “Most LOVED Arts & Crafts Center” from Hulafrog for it’s fairly recent addition to the educational supply store’s “The Bookworm’s Crafternoon”- a free in-store craft time for PreK-10 year old children held on Saturdays a couple of times per month (please see our Facebook page for more information).

Their daughters Nicole and Monique both continue the legacy their parents began 24 years ago. Same family, same love for everything educational!
